The Villa Tapia Industrial Free Zone Park was officially established through Decree No. 304-22 on June 17, 2022, under the administration of Grupo Graf, S.R.L. Its creation responded to an industrial decentralization strategy in the Dominican Republic, aimed at revitalizing the economy of Hermanas Mirabal Province through the promotion of investment and manufacturing.

The park operates on a 50,000-square-meter site located in the municipality of Villa Tapia. It operates under the incentives regime established by Law No. 8-90, allowing tenant companies to benefit from full tax exemptions on the importation of machinery and raw materials intended for export activities.

Despite its recent establishment, the park represents a milestone for Villa Tapia by integrating the local community into the dynamics of the Dominican Republic’s international trade sector. Its launch has played a key role in generating new employment opportunities in a traditionally agricultural area, thereby contributing to the diversification of the province’s productive matrix.
