The park was established in 1994 in response to the growing need for solidly built industrial facilities to accommodate textile manufacturing operations within the Dominican Republic’s free trade zones. The development began with a 10,000-square-meter industrial building that, although originally intended to be divided among multiple tenants, has been leased in its entirety by every tenant that has occupied it from the very beginning.
Since its inception, a firm commitment has been maintained to a corporate policy focused on constructing facilities only under specific client demand, rather than keeping an inventory of vacant industrial buildings. As a result, every space is rigorously tailored to meet the unique design, space, and operational requirements of each company established within the complex.
The value proposition of this free trade zone is strengthened by an environment operating under Law No. 8-90, granting total tax exemptions as well as import duty exemptions for all equipment, machinery, and related accessories. Additionally, operations benefit from preferential labor cost structures, access to a young and trainable workforce in the Santo Domingo metropolitan area, and duty-free access to strategic international markets through agreements such as DR-CAFTA for the United States, the EPA for the European market, and various regional treaties throughout Central America and CARICOM member states.
